The Best Gift

Snuggly in his jammies, ‘lil Man scooted across the kitchen floor, grunting. I stood up and asked him, “Do you want Mama?”. A big smile broke across his face, and then across mine. “Mama! Mama,” he said with arms up high in the air. Say what? He finally said it, and kept saying it, smiling. “Mama!”

It’s a day after Christmas, but the best gift I got this year!
